Belle Donne Apartment is designed on a grand scale on two levels and lies on the fourth floor of an antique building with an elevator along VIA DELLE BELLE DONNE, just next to Pizza Santa Maria Novella (and so within a 5 mins walk away from the train station).

Tastefully renovated and furnished with sophisticated design pieces, it can accommodate up to 6 people and has 3 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. The entrance opens onto the bright living room, which has a decorative fireplace and a large flat-screen TV with international channels. In the dining area, you'll find a large dining table for 6 people. The kitchen is also on this floor and has gas burners, a microwave, an electric oven, a blender, a dishwasher, a toaster, a kettle, an American coffee maker, an espresso coffee maker, and all the necessary equipment for cooking. Close to the kitchen, you'll find the laundry area with a washing machine and a line to hang clothes. Also on this level is the first bedroom with a king-size bed and an ensuite bathroom with a built-in shower and another master bedroom with a king-size bed (width 170 cm) with its bathroom with shower. Returning to the dining area you'll find a white spiral staircase that leads to the third bedroom with two twin beds and its ensuite bathroom that has both a bathtub and a shower.

The apartment is fully air-conditioned and it is provided with the most reliable wifi connection provided by the national phone company.

The check-in is from 3 pm to 8 pm. We are sorry but later check-in is not possible.

Parking

Florence city centre is a ZTL zone which means a “limited traffic zone” and therefore special rules apply to when you can enter this area. This particular apartment is in fact located within the ZTL zone so this means that if you are thinking of coming to Florence by car and wish to drive around and park, then you will need to pay special attention to the road signs, CCTV cameras, and access cameras (they will show either a red/green light) to avoid receiving fines. Guests who need to travel within the ZTL zone by car to reach their apartment are advised to contact one of the private garages in the centre (the one nearest the apartment you are staying in) and obtain a temporary access permit. Upon arrival at the garage, guests must specify they need access to the ZTL, and the garage will then note the vehicle’s number plate and forward it to the appropriate police headquarters.

Area

The apartment is located within Duomo-Santa Maria Novella district in Florence’s historic city centre. The Duomo area constitutes the very heart of Florence and the area takes its name from Brunelleschi’s magnificent dome on the wonderful Santa Maria del Fiore cathedral. The Duomo neighbourhood offers an array of beautiful historical buildings and superb piazzas including the Mercato di San Lorenzo, the Piazza del Duomo and Piazza della Repubblica, famous for its attractive cafes, patisserie shops, live music, street performers and caricature artists. Furthermore, the area is surrounded by the city’s main cultural attractions, notably Piazza della Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio, Ponte Vecchio, the Bargello Palace and Casa Buonarroti, the former home of Michelangelo, not to mention the Uffizi Gallery and the museum dedicated to the city’s cathedral “Museo dell'Opera del Duomo”.

The area also has much to offer in terms of fine dining and exclusive boutique shopping. The top Italian fashion houses are located along Via Tornabuoni, Via Calzaiuoli and Via del Corso and include the famous names of Salvatore Ferragamo, Armani, Versace, Fendi, Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Tiffany & Co. and many more. The Parco delle Cascine, Florence’s largest public park popular with walkers, joggers, horse riders and families, is also just 10 minutes away by foot. For people choosing an apartment in this area, there are plenty of food stores otherwise known as “alimentari”, supermarkets, laundrettes, banks, pharmacies and individual gift shops not to mention the fact that you are very close to the main bus, tram, coach and train terminal, Santa Maria Novella.

For the layout of the apartment children under the age of 12 are not recommended and can only be accepted with a disclaimer and an additional security deposit.
