Step through French doors from your private gardens into the long open-concept great room at this vacation rental, whose stone floors and cotto ceilings come to life in the sunshine. There are two private gardens on both sides of the rental unit featuring a living area furnished with outdoor sofas and armchairs orned by fluffy cushions on one side overlooking the valley and a dining area and private sun loungers on the other side facing the pool. More private sun-loungers are available for your exclusive use at the swimming pool, shared with the occupants of the other portions of farmhouse.

The two bedrooms on the upper floor are linked to each other and there is no door which makes it ideal for families who wants to keep an eye on young children. All 4 bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms with modern fittings and air conditioning to keep you comfortable during summer in Italy.

The town nearest the villa it is Lucca, the famous medieval enclave just 5 kilometres away (or 5 mins drive away) whose architecture dates back to Middle Age and Renaissance times. Stroll its maze-like streets, pausing to sample local olive oil—or gelato, if you’re on holiday with the whole family—have a glass of wine, or sit down to a honeymoon-worthy dinner featuring local delights from the nearby countryside. For a memorable day trip, see the sea along the Versilia Riviera (30 mins away) or explore the famous Cinque Terre just 1 hour away.
