Description
This lovingly renovated natural stone house "Dubbione" is located in a typical village on the Lucca hill range. The three-storey corner house of a group of houses is situated at 400 metres above sea level. Virtually all rooms offer a beautiful view of the Lucca plain and the Pisan mountains. Here you can enjoy Tuscan ambience and a temperate climate even on hot summer days. Long walks can be taken through the surrounding chestnut groves.
The house is cosy, and yet furnished in a modern way. It has four bedrooms, each for two people. The eight beds are provided freshly made. You can comfortably sit at the big table in the spacious kitchen-cum-living room downstairs. This is furnished in a modern and practical way (double sink, gas stove, electrical oven, fridge and freezer, sufficient crockery). On the first floor of the house is a living room with satellite TV and a bathroom with bath / shower and toilet. On the second floor there is a further bathroom with shower / toilet. Bath towels (per guest each one bath towel / towel / bath towel) is provided. In addition, storage rooms and a washing machine are available.
There is a seating area of absolute quiet in the olive grove about 80m below the house. Loungers and garden chairs, a large table and a sun shade are in the summer house.
The surrounding area of Lucca offers varied scenery and historic sites that scarcely any other area could provide. The convenient location allows for easy trips to Florence (70km), Pisa (30km), Lucca (12km), the nature reserve of Garfagnana (30km) and the bathing beaches of Viareggio (35km). Or visit some of the nearby historic mansions, the wind caves in Barga (50km), the Pinocchio Park in Collodi (15km), the market in Lucca .......! In the house, you will find documents containing information on these and numerous other excursion possiblities in the surrounding area.
