From Montignoso you can easily reach some of the most famous regional destinations, such as the province of Massa (few kilometers away) but also beach locations like Forte dei Marmi, Marina di Pietrasanta, Barga and Viareggio. There you can do shopping, have a cup of coffee or simply take a stroll down the avenues. A bit further, but still worth a visit, is the province of Lucca - a stunning medieval walled city. Not to be missed are Le Cinque Terre ("Five Lands"), in the province of La Spezia, a World Heritage Site comprising five picturesque sea towns.
