The vineyard area Abona is located in the southeast of Tenerife and is the most comprehensive wine-growing region of the island in terms of surface area. The cultivation takes place between 300 and 1750 meters above sea level, so that Abona's vineyards are also the highest in Europe. One of the best known, annually award-winning wines in the area is the "Cumbres de Abona" from the Bodega of the same name at ARICO. Bodegas are located in Arico, Fasnia and Güímar.
